Are you ready for the
smoking ban?
25% discount for
No Smoking signs from A2i
- Next day delivery available
- Signs meet all legal requirements
There are just 2 days to go until the smoking ban comes into
force in England. If you haven’t already bought your No Smoking
signs then we can help - signs are available to buy from our shop
now and you can opt for Next Day Delivery so you receive
them quickly.
A2i’s
No Smoking signs contain Braille as well as print, and
therefore help you meet your legal obligations more fully than
other signs - read on for further information …
From 1st July you will have a legal responsibility to ensure
that your premises become, and remain, smoke-free. This applies to
any ‘enclosed’ and ‘substantially enclosed’ public places and
workplaces, and includes offices, education establishments, pubs
and restaurants.
If you manage, or are in charge of any premises or
vehicles that the new law applies to, you must:
- Ensure that no-smoking signs are in place. The
no smoking sign must be A5 size or larger, and must be displayed at
each entrance to the premises. It should clearly contain the
words 'No Smoking. It is against the law to smoke in these
premises'. Our Braille
and Tactile Signs say this in print and in Braille.
- Make sure that your staff, customers, visitors and members are
aware that your premises are legally required to be smoke-free.
This includes visually impaired staff, customers, visitors and
members.
- Remove any existing indoor smoking rooms.
A2i’s signs comply with the new No Smoking Legislation as well
as the Disability Discrimination Act. All of your customers,
colleagues and visitors will know that your premises are smoke free
- including any visually impaired people.
Buy your signs from A2i's on-line shop - fast,
easy and secure - and enjoy a special 25% discount.*
For more information about the No Smoking laws please see
The
Smoke-free (Signs) Regulations 2007
* Offer open until the end of July 2007

Prospectus, Open Day Guide,
Student handbook ...
Have you had them transcribed yet?
Now is the time to ensure all your literature is ready - it is
during the summer months that A2i receives most requests for
transcription of prospectuses and other student documents.
Remember to order early - so that your alternative format
documents are ready in time for your students’ requests.
You may also need Braille
and Tactile signage for your buildings and Braille
and large print keyboards and other products for your IT suites - visit
our online shop now for more
details!
Here is a reminder of the services that we can provide ...
In addition to your prospectus, remember you may also need to
provide your Open Day material, Student Handbook, Accommodation
Guide and other important documents in alternative formats.
- Braille: Single or
double sided and Grade 1 or Grade 2 available. We also transcribe
Maths to degree level, and foreign languages including Welsh,
French and Spanish.
- Audio:
Either Daisy DTB, Audio CD, Audio Tape or Audio MP3's available,
with full indexing for ease of use and searchability.
- Large
Print: including individualised font requirements. More
than just enlarged font size - we use fonts, colours and layout
that most visually impaired people prefer.
- E-text:
documents formatted and stored on data CD for use with screen
readers and other specialist software
- Moon: Moon
is a tactile language like Braille. The characters are larger than
in Braille, which makes documents bulky, but this means that it is
easier to learn and to read by people with less experience or
reduced sensitivity. We produce dotty moon, where the lines and
curves of the moon characters are made by a series of dots.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information, or
send a copy of your documents through for a full quotation.
