A2i Charity Gift
Each year A2i like to make a donation to charity. This year we decided to contribute to two good causes. Please read on for details.
A2i give money each year, either to a local charity, a charity focused on preventing or reducing visual impairment around the world, or a charity supporting people to live with sight loss. The amount given is a fixed percentage of our company profits each year.
There were a lot of organisations that we would have liked to support, so in 2009 we gave to one charity in the Bristol area, and one helping people with sigh loss.
In 2009 A2i donated:
£1053 to the Grand Appeal for the BRI (Bristol Royal Infirmary) neonatal unit
Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal is the charity for Bristol Children's Hospital, and children's services within UH Bristol, including the Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit.
The Appeal fundraises continuously to improve the quality of life for patients and their families by providing much needed additional facilities, comforts and state of the art equipment.
The Appeal seeks to enrich and enhance patient care and to ensure access to a wide range of leisure, educational and medical facilities so that children and their families receive the very best medical care and treatment possible.
£1000.00 to Sightsavers International
Sightsavers are an international charity which works with partners to eliminate avoidable blindness and promote equality of opportunity for disabled people in the developing world
Sightsavers works to combat blindness in developing countries, restoring sight through specialist treatment and eye care. They also support people who are irreversibly blind by providing education, counselling and training. They help the people who need it most - those living in poverty in some of the world's poorest countries.
